The Modern Day PT Course
The Course
Course Information
Physical therapy is a profession that continues to grow and evolve, especially in the outpatient orthopedic setting. As the profession grows and changes, the clinician must grow and change as well. This is reflected in the "Modern Day Physical Therapist". The modern day outpatient orthopedic physical therapist is a person:
- With strong orthopedic physical therapy and clinical reasoning skills
- Who utilizes them effectively to encounter, evaluate, and treat patients with empathy and compassion
- To ultimately inspire those around them through a clear and focused leadership mindset
Not having all three pillars as part of your practice will leave you poorly equipped to be effective in patient encounters, especially during complex cases and situations. Most con-ed courses will address 1 or 2 of these pillars, which leaves the clinician with a gap in certain skills, making it more difficult to be effective and fulfilled in modern day practice. We have studied and researched all three pillars and distilled the essence down into a 10-month long education series. This course will give you the tangible skills, opportunities to practice them, and the mentorship to use them well along the way.
