Dr. Andrew Pavlov, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS
Dr. Pavlov is a physical therapist, educator and strength coach in San Diego, CA. His mission is to empower clinicians to identify their values, mission, and joy for care to allow ultimate fulfillment within their careers.
He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from University of Southern California in 2017 and became a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist in 2020. He has been a faculty member at San Diego State University in the DPT program for 7 years and is now a core-faculty member there. He has treated patients in San Diego for the last 6+ years, including professional athletes in the MLB and NFL to weekend warriors, and all types of conditions and injuries. He has also provided mentoring services for aspiring PTs and practicing clinicians for the past 5 years, and loves helping clinicians rediscover their “why” to remain passionate about their profession and patient care. When he is not working, he loves traveling with his family, cooking, exploring new restaurants and breweries, playing sports and being active, and rooting on his LA sports teams.
Dr. Joe Chen, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, CSCS
Dr. Chen is a physical therapist and educator in San Diego, CA. His mission is to empower leaders to change the landscape of their environment- in their personal lives, in the clinical world, and in their work situations. He believes that each person is created with unique influence that has the potential to impact others positively and profoundly.
He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mount St. Mary’s University. Following his graduate degree, he became board-certified as a clinical specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy after participating in the Kaiser Permanente Southern California Orthopedic PT Residency. He became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy by finishing the Kaiser Permanente Advanced Orthopedic PT and Manual Therapy Fellowship specializing in Sports Rehab. In his passion for discovering how to help clients and organizations tap into their internal motivation and inherent potential, Dr. Chen is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration- Healthcare Administration and a Master’s in Divinity- General Pastoral Ministries.
In practicing what he preaches, Dr. Chen loves spending time with his family, exercising, and traveling to meet with friends when not working or teaching.
